The Breeders’ Kim and Kelley Deal joined Courtney Barnett on stage to perform ‘Nameless, Faceless’ live from the BBC’s Biggest Weekend.
With both bands performing live at the Belfast event and, with both Kim Deal and Barnett having become close in recent years, the two indie worlds collided for a rendition of the track taken from Barnett’s new album Tell Me How You Really Feel.
It was almost two years ago that Barnett collaborated with The Breeders, putting together backing vocals for a track having popped into their Ohio studio: “Courtney Barnett’s band – in town yesterday to play at Nelsonville – visited us in the studio. Of course, we had them sing backup vocals on a song…” the band previously said.
