They Might Be Giants will release their 15th studio album — the 15-song “rock album” I Like Fun to be released in January, and they will embark on a marathon 50-date U.S. tour that will take the two Johns from coast to coast while on the road from January through April.
The album is due out January. 19th, and is preceded by the single “I Left My Body,” which you can hear below.
They Might Be Giants co-founders John Linnell and John Flansburgh have been working on the new album for more than a year, delivering what’s being described as “fresh and sonically adventurous” new music. The two songwriters, according to the announcement of the new album, “draw on themes of dread, death, and disappointment and set them to their driving, hyper-melodic music.”
