Having quietly made a name for themselves through a series of impressive live gigs, London via Leeds punk-trio Slowcoaches have this week shared a new single, Norms & Values, as well as confirming details of their debut album, Nothing Gives.

While we’ll have to wait until the distant future, well December 2016, to here the album in full, Norms & Values serves as a thrilling aperitif for the record to follow. A blur of loose, rapid drums and ferocious, driving, power chords, the whole thing is given life by a vocal that’s pure attitude, singer Heather repeating, “your style is lacking substance” as if she’s seen all these fakers somewhere before. It does, we’re sad to report, last for over three minutes though, the bloody prog-heads.
