Born in the shadows of Nuneaton in Late 2014, April consist of a group of school friends who found a mutual outlook on modern life. Life issues, aspirations and the state of current music was what brought the band together and has proven to be a solid foundation in the music made together.

George Cooke (vocalist) says “There is in our opinion just a massive lack of new music that really appeals to us as a group, so we decided to start making the music we wanted to hear ’cause no other fucker was.”

Despite only just starting out and beginning to perform live over the past few months, April have decided to grasp the South Midland’s almost dwindling music scene and launch a brand new club night in sister city, Coventry. Bands coming from the area seem to be very few and far between at the present time, so a lot of hope is going into April – we are just waiting for them to be the next big thing. April’s ethos and musical hearts seem to really be in the right place. Their DIY sprit is admirable.

The bands debut single ‘Ten Miles High’ is available in late September,

“Our tunes are statements, celebrations, love letters and protest songs for everyone just to lose all inhibitions to, let loose and get weird! We want to be the biggest band in the world, if we don’t believe in ourselves then who the fuck else will”
