Dream-rock quartet from paradise. Paper Days formed when four friends became family through music. We are living in the “Paper Days”, the final generations before paper becomes obsolete as we move into a digital world. As a result of living during this transition, the music influences from multi-generations are reflected. If you listen close enough you can hear the setting of the dreamy southern California waves.

Paper Days are a relatively new band out of California (currently in San Diego). They definitely have a certain California sound to them, but I think it might be a bit of a step to throw them in with the beach and dream bands that seem to be dominating the scene there. Sure, there are beach elements, but Paper Days really draws on a lot of influences and experiments with their sound in ways that make “Playground Dreams” exciting and fresh. The song comes off as if the beach sound hooked up with early 00′s garage rock, and then brought in some British, post-new wave mod to spice things up. Paper Days are four guys looking to make their way in the world of rock ‘n’ roll, and “Playground Dreams” is a war cry of sorts that’s full of bold vocals, addictive guitar rhythms, and some pretty gnarly bass and drum work. These guys are ready to make some noise, and some beautiful noise they sure do make.”
