HUDSON TAYLOR – ” World Without You “

Hudson Taylor The Dublin brothers, Harry and Alfie, are releasing their new single ‘World Without You’ on March 16th ahead of their debut album ‘Singing For Strangers’ which drops via Polydor Records a week later. The boys have amassed a huge following, not just us, but for their live sets so after a series of well-received EPs and singles, as well as supporting the likes of Jake Bugg and the Rolling Stones.

The album itself is the culmination of it all though, with Alfie commenting “We want to be able to look back in a few years’ time and be proud of our songs,” and Harry adding “Our music is raw and folky, like Crosby, Stills and Nash or Simon & Garfunkel. We’re really coming into our own and we’ve been recording some great stuff.”

Opening with this delicate picked mandolin figure, before it breaks into this folky shuffle, something quintessentially Irish about it. Like fellow countrymen Kodaline though, they have this innate ability to write melodies that stick with you, that make you fall in love with, or even to I suppose, given the subject matter. With a upcoming sell out tour Hudson Taylor are most definitely going to be something big.
