The duo has also announced headlining shows in NY and LA where they’ll perform the record in its entirety. The garage-rock revivalists The Kills announced a deluxe reissue for their sophomore album “No Wow“. The 17th anniversary celebration will include two LPs—the original version and a new mix by producer Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, Fiona Apple, Arctic Monkeys)—as well as an exclusive print and small booklet. Along with the announcement, the duo shared Blake’s mix of the title track and a visual directed by Sally Walker-Hudecki with her own Super 8 footage combined with visuals from the original 2005 music video by Kenneth Cappello.
The celebration doesn’t stop there. Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince will perform “No Wow” in its entirety this June in Los Angeles and New York. These shows will be the only headlining events for The Kills this year, although they’ll be performing one show opening for Jack White prior to the No Wow anniversary dates.
It’s been 17 years and we’re reissuing No Wow! We had Grammy Award-winning mixer Tchad Blake take it for spin and on June 3rd, you’ll be able to get 3 different versions of it on vinyl – original, the Tchad Blake mixes & deluxe. The limited edition deluxe double LP includes both the original and Tchad Blake mixes on black-and-gold smoke vinyl, has a gold foil gatefold LP jacket, an exclusive 5×7 print and a four-page booklet. This beauty is available for pre-order in our new webstore, along with some new merch we’ve created to celebrate the occasion.
